Privacy policy
1. Your privacy, wellbeing and peace of mind is my priority.
2. All your personal information, including name, address, contact details, and all the records from your counselling sessions, are securely stored in an electronic database (Halaxy).
3. None of your details are shared with anyone, with the exception of circumstances where your wellbeing is determined by myself to be in danger, or that of another person is deemed to be at risk because of information disclosed by yourself. In those circumstances I may disclose your name and address to a member of the appropriate emergency response service, for example, NSW Police, NSW Ambulance Service or Mental Health Emergency Triage Service.
4. Records are kept for a period of seven years from the date of our first session.
5. Apart from the conditions in point 3 above, no information will be shared about you, or our sessions, with anyone including family and friends, without your written and signed consent.
6. Information about your mental health and wellbeing may be shared with other health professionals, such as GPs, psychologists and counsellors as required for professional referrals. Your consent will be gained prior to making these referrals. If you have a mental health plan from your GP, I will prepare a report for them at the conclusion of your plan, as per Medicare requirements.
